Leps training started with its skills empowerment mission in 1998. It was established by a founder member after gaining a massive experience working on different training environment such as Boskop Training Centre, Education and agriculture department.

We are following the regulations of COVID-19. We always practice to keep the 1 meter distance, wear Face mask, use Sanitation and tempratures are being checked regularly.
ARTISAN RPL REQUIREMENTS
We offer ARPL and trade test preparations on the following artisan trades:
Plastering and Bricklaying
We invite private sectors and public organisations such as government departments, municipalities, SANDF
(South African National Defence Force) etc or any institution with similar interests to be a
partner by investing on participating in upskilling of labour force to qualify as artisans on
the above mentioned 7 trades.
We also offer skills training (Short Courses) on above mentioned trades and we are capable of taking training to places where candidates are residing.

The DHET now stipulates that all Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL) candidates must also compile a portfolio of evidence including a curriculum vitae (CV); any other certified supporting documents of qualifications and current and previous employment, together with trade-related duties performed. Photographic proof must also be included, where applicable and available.
Self-employed candidates must provide proof of trade-related evidence, which must be accompanied by affidavits signed by clients or other parties supporting the candidate’s ARPL request. All documents in the portfolio of evidence must align with the checklist provided by the National Artisan Moderation Body. The checklist can be found on the DHET’s website, at www. dhet.org.za.
The DHET further requires that the following documents be added to candidates’ porfolios of evidence before the final trade test can be conducted:
Candidate evaluation or interview checklist.
Gap closure reports.
Documentary, audio-graphic or photographic proof of assessments.
The recommendation of the assessor for trade testing."
RPL is "the comparison of previous learning and experience of a student, howsoever obtained, against the learning outcomes required for a specific qualification and the acceptance of such learning for purposes of qualification of that which meets the requirements" (SAQA Regulation 452, No. 18787, March 1998:5).
You can apply for RPL if you have developed skills and knowledge through work experience. Learning from experience refers to work experience, in-service training, self-study or life experience, such as voluntary or community work
The RPL'18/19 was funded by CETA and we as always at Leps Training delivered an outstanding service to our fellows. There
were about 60 learners in all. They have completed their course with us and have been awarded certificates of Recognition Prior Learning under the trades of their choices.

THE PLUMBING LEARNERSHIP TOOK PLACE IN 2017/18 UNDER OUR ACCREDITATION. IT WAS FUNDED BY LGSETA AND WE AS LEPS TRAINING SAW TO IT THAT QUALITY SERVICES GOT DELIVERED IN REGARDLESS OF ANY ODDS. WE TRAINED 8 DIFFERENT REGIONS. WE WERE VERY HONORED TO DELIVER THE QUALITY TRAINING AND ALSO LOOKING FORWARD TO ACHIEVING MORE AND DEVELOPING OUR COUNTRY.
